The Berkeley Square Society Band - ten of London's finest instrumentalists play in this band for the sheer enjoyment of conjuring up that magical musical world of the 1920s and 30s.

From the jazz age and the time of the Charleston to the era of the Busby Berkeley Hollywood musicals there was an almost endless stream of songs which have stood the test of time, from such masters as the Gershwin brothers, Rodgers & Hart, Jerome Kern, Irving Berlin, Cole Porter and many more. Those were the days when the BBC set up its microphones in the great London hotels and the nation listened in to its favourite orchestras and vocalists on the wireless.

With, between them, experience of getting on for a 100 West End musicals, countless recording sessions, backings for some of the world's major artists, broadcasts, dances and jazz gigs, the musicians of the Berkeley Square Society Band evoke that halcyon period of witty and sophisticated lyrics, stylish orchestrations, star players and great bands, with verve and polish.
