Bernadine Pritchett
Bernadine Pritchett worked as a hospital receptionist and wages clerk before studying
at the London Studio Centre. Her first professional engagement took her to Austria
appearing in the German language production of Showboat. On her return she appeared again
in Showboat for Opera North and the Royal Shakespeare Company. After Kurt Weill Theatre
Suites, Little Shop of Horrors, and The King and I, Bernadine appeared in the original
London cast of the award winning production of Carmen Jones, moving immediately on to the
National Theatre production of Carousel. From here she went into the West End production
of Phantom of the Opera. When this contract finished she embarked on a hectic tour of
Europe playing Cindy Lou in Carmen Jones visiting Germany, Switzerland, Austria,
Luxembourg, Holland and Belgium.
