Baluji Shrivastav was born in Uttar Pradesh and has performed as a classical sitar player throughout the world. He has composed music for dance and theatre, pioneering many new music projects. Much in demand as a session player, he has recorded with the likes of Annie Lennox, Jazzy B, Massive Attack and Jah Wobble amongst others. He has recorded many Indian classical CDs under his own name, uniquely one each on sitar, surbahar, dilruba and vocal.
