Damon Brown, for his début album as a leader, brings together some of the most talented and highly rated players from the younger generation in British Jazz. They are all individually well established and respected on the international jazz scene and together are a vibrant combination.
The original quintet was formed to introduce Damon's work to a wider audience, touring extensively throughout the UK in the spring of 1997. The enthusiastic response of audiences and critics alike inspired Damon to record this album which comprises the original compositions written for the tour and new material to incorporate guest artists Tim Garland and Christian Brewer.
